A non-refundable booking fee, 30% of the total package, is required in order to complete your booking. This secures (only) the date you have stated on the booking form. If you cancel our services or change the wedding date prior, the booking fee will not be refunded.
The final balance will be invoiced 6 weeks before your wedding date and must be paid in full before the day of your wedding. Failure to pay funds before your wedding day will result in us being unable to provide coverage. You may wish to pay via credit card, if so a 1.5% +20p will be added to the total balance. We do not accept cash on the day.
The client is solely responsible for securing permission from the site/church operator for filming/photography to take place.
We are not responsible for poor audio if any member of the wedding party including priest or registrar do not agree to wear a lapel microphone. We are not responsible for poor audio if the registrar/priest/venue staff/guests or anyone else present on the day (excluding a member of our team) tamper, interfere or damage audio equipment prior, during or after the recording.
We are not responsible for dark or grainy video resulting from inadequate lighting or electrical or mechanical malfunctions on location that are beyond our control.
We are not responsible for the venue itself negatively affecting the audio or images. For example, but not limited to; Music too loud, excessive décor affecting viewpoint/line of sight, artificial lighting, projector screens etc.
Videos provided to Client shall be usable and in accordance with the artistic vision, taste, judgment, and style. We shall be solely responsible for determining whether an image or footage is usable, and for all creative decisions.
Any content posted to social media should be credited to Nicholas Scarlett. Content must not be altered or changed in any way (i.e. filters or effects) before being posted to social media. Content posted onto social media in any form must be downloaded and shared in full quality.
We will establish an arrival time for the wedding date with the client prior to that date and remain on duty for the number of hours included in the package. (Not including breaks) Coverage hours included in the package are for the wedding date only and are consecutive. This block of time includes transportation between venues, setting up equipment and packing away.
We reserve the right to discontinue filming/photographing in any situation (e.g. rain, extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous locations) that could put the safety of the videographer or equipment at risk.
We reserve the right to discontinue filming or photographing if at any point they feel threatened/intimidated or anyone present on the wedding day acts in an inappropriate manner towards a member of the team.
In extremely rare circumstances where the wedding is unable to take place on the original date booked. When circumstances outside of the client or our control prohibits the day from taking place. i.e. flood, fire, government prohibition. The non-refundable booking fee, will be honoured and transferred to a new available date. If the full amount has been paid we will honour the package on a new date covered by a member of the our team.
We will be allowed one 20 minute break at their own discretion, and bathroom breaks when necessary. For weddings lasting longer than 4 hours, we reserve the right to go off-site for a meal for 45 minutes (during the wedding breakfast) if no meal is provided.
Two cameras will be used to film the ceremony (video). The aesthetic quality of this video mix may vary depending upon the logistics of the wedding site and the permitted camera placement. We are not responsible if our equipment is moved during filming or if the camera is blocked by anyone or anything present during filming.
The completed work will be considered a finished product, however, the client may request one round of revisions to the content. These revisions are for small amendments and changes, not additional films, longer edits or re-editing of the films. Additional revisions will be added to the client’s balance at the prorated rate of £60 per hour.
All original recordings/images remain the property of Nicholas Scarlett. The client gives us permission to use content to market wedding videography services.
The client is responsible for all copyrighted music used in the wedding video if/when posted online.
The client agrees that they have personally viewed work completed by Nicholas Scarlett and understand entirely what the included deliverables are from the package they have purchased.
